Title: Website Content Developer and Coordinator Intern
Belwah Media is seeking a Website Content Developer and Coordinator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a student seeking career in marketing. It’s also a great opportunity for any student considering a career working with an online media company. You will provide a steady flow of data-driven and informative content for our website readers that’s optimized for search engines and ready for all major social media platforms.
The Intern(s) will assist the owner with brainstorming content ideas, developing a content calendar, developing content templates, writing articles for major business and marketing websites (Including Forbes, Business.com and Social Media Today), and writing content for the Belwah Media website. In addition, the Intern(s) will assist the owner in developing video content. The Website Content Developer and Coordinator must have strong research skills and even better critical thinking skills. He/she/they will gain valuable experience that is applicable to today’s marketing and media job market. Hours are flexible, with a minimum of ten hours a week; however, there will be at least one mandatory hour each week when the intern is required to attend a brainstorming meeting (in person or via Skype/Zoom, etc). This position is available starting in December and ends in May (end date is flexible). The intern will work in our Madison, WI office located at 5201 Old Middleton Rd.
Projects / Learning Outcomes:
The intern will be supervised by a member of the Belwah Media team and receive training on content development. The intern will learn online content development strategies, writing content for a web audience, writing content for various top web properties like Forbes, Business.com, Social Media Today, and Business 2 Community, developing video content, developing a content strategy, how to enhance communication online, and project management.
Desired Qualifications and Requirements:
- Some knowledge of using social media for business purposes (preferred, not required)
- Use of MS office suite – basic Word and Excel
- Strong communication (oral, writing and presentation) skills
- Detail oriented
- Extremely reliable
- Communicative (if it takes you 3 days to respond to text messages or emails, please don’t apply)
