Successful fundraising is about telling stories that are empowering and relatable. Nonprofits can use community-driven content developed by members of their local communities to build relationships that encourage consistent donors for their organizations.
Based on my experience, storytelling encourages compassionate giving. Stories help us remember; they influence decision making and make a nonprofit’s mission relatable. Remember these two things: 1) donors are likely to respond to emotion, and 2) your nonprofit is in the business of providing solutions for people who have problems.
